Where can I buy a Crit'Air sticker in France?

Crit’Air stickers aren’t sold in any physical locations in France and need to be ordered online (click here to order).

If you haven’t ordered one before you left the UK and you’ve driven into France without one, you can still buy a Crit’Air sticker in France online. You’ll receive a pdf digital version of the sticker via email within 48 hours, which you can print and display in your windscreen or show to an enforcement officer if asked.

Of course, the ideal scenario is not to wait until you’re in France to get your Crit’Air sticker. Order it before you leave the UK for peace of mind.

Buying a Crit’Air sticker on our website is really easy using our simplified ordering process.

You will need a photo of your V5C (Vehicle Registration Document) to upload during the ordering process but no other details need to be entered when ordering through our website. We will deal with the rest.

Driving into French cities during times of Crit’Air enforcement without a valid ‘clean air’ sticker can lead to a maximum fine of €750. The fine was increased to this maximum level in 2025 when camera enforcement was introduced.

Once you’ve bought a Crit’Air sticker for your car it is valid for the lifetime of the vehicle.

If you’re planning a roadtrip through other European countries such as Switzerland, make sure you have the correct vignettes as they are different to those in France.

Note: Crit’Air stickers are also referred to as ‘clean air’ or ‘air quality’ certificates, vignettes or stickers, or in French, “certificat qualite de l’air”.
